This policy describes how SpendWise AI (“we”, “the app”) handles information when you use our mobile application. By using the app, you agree to this policy.
android.permission.CAMERA — The app may request camera access so you can take a photo of a receipt to attach to a transaction. The camera is used only when you choose “Camera” in the add-transaction flow. We do not record video or capture images in the background.
Photo library — With your permission, you may pick an existing photo from your gallery to attach as a receipt. You can deny access; the rest of the app works without receipts.
Receipt images are stored in connection with your account (see Receipt storage below). They are not used for advertising or sold to third parties.
SpendWise AI is a personal finance app: expenses, budgets, optional AI features, and optional receipt attachments.
Depending on configuration:
If you use AI chat, text you send may be sent to an AI provider to generate replies. Do not send secrets. Receipt images are not sent to the AI unless we ship a separate feature and update this policy.
Reminders use local / device notifications (e.g. Expo Notifications) as implemented.
Purchases are handled by Google Play or Apple. We do not receive your full card number.
Diagnostics or analytics may apply if you enable third-party SDKs (e.g. Firebase). List any analytics SDKs you use.
To run the service (sync, budgets, household view, receipts), improve security, and enforce subscription tiers where applicable. We do not sell your financial data.
Where applicable: contract, legitimate interests (security, improvement), and consent where required.
Data is kept while you use the account unless you delete it in-app or request deletion. Deleting a transaction removes its receipt reference; Storage files may be removed when the app supports it.
We use HTTPS and access rules where configured. No system is perfectly secure.
The app is not directed at children under 13 (or under the age of digital consent in your region).
Providers may process data in the US and other countries, with safeguards where required.
